I’m so excited to officially welcome you to the Fort Lewis Powwow Circle. It truly means so much to see our circle growing and bringing together students who want to learn, move, and build community in a good way.

Before participating in any practices, meetings, or events, all members are required to review and sign our Cultural Agreement.

This agreement exists to maintain a safe, respectful, and culturally grounded space for everyone involved. Powwow is not just an activity — it carries history, responsibility, and meaning. As a circle, we are committed to honoring traditions, respecting one another, and upholding accountability within our community.

Signing the agreement ensures that:

• Our space remains respectful and inclusive

• Cultural protocols are honored

• Everyone understands expectations around conduct and participation

• We protect the integrity of what we are building together
 

Please complete the Cultural Agreement before attending your first practice or meeting (or promptly after). Further participation will not be permitted until it has been signed.

If you have any questions about the agreement or would like clarification on anything within it, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I’m always open to conversation.

If you would like a physical copy please let myself or our officers know and we can get one to you at the next meeting.
